
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved Karachi infrastructure project worth Rs. 9.28 billion. In a significant move to improve infrastructure. The Sindh government has approved Rs. 9.28 billion for the repair and maintenance of roads in Karachi’s industrial areas. The decision aims to address long-standing issues of traffic congestion, potholes, and poor road conditions. That have been affecting businesses and daily commuters.
Officials stated that the allocated funds will focus on major industrial zones, including Korangi, SITE, Landhi, and North Karachi, ensuring smoother transportation for goods and workers. The project will include road resurfacing, pothole repairs, and improvements to drainage systems. Which are expected to reduce flooding during the monsoon season.
Local business owners have welcomed the announcement. Noting that better roads will help reduce transportation costs, improve delivery times, and support industrial growth in the city. The government has emphasized that the work will be carried out in phases to minimize disruptions while ensuring high-quality construction standards. Approved Budget Detail
Under the approved package, the government allocated Rs. 2 billion for the SITE Association of Trade and Industry, Rs. 700 million for both phases of the SITE Superhighway, Rs. 721.74 million for the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry, Rs. 860.55 million for the F.B. Area Association of Trade and Industry, Rs. 2 billion for the Landhi Association of Trade and Industry. Rs. 2 billion for the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, including the Pakistan Tanners Association, and Rs. 1 billion for the Bin Qasim Association of Trade and Industry.
