Authorities in Pakistan have arrested an Indian national after he reportedly crossed the international border into Pakistani territory. Pakistani security forces arrested an Indian citizen in Kasur district after he allegedly crossed the border.

Authorities said they detained him on suspicion of spying and then handed him over to the police for further action. Rangers picked up the man from the Sehjarra area of Kasur after they saw him inside Pakistan’s borders. After taking him into custody, the Rangers transferred him to the police officials. Police identified the detainee as Sharandeep Singh. They said the Rangers arrested him for violating Pakistan’s territorial boundary.

According to police, Singh belongs to Shahkot tehsil in Jalandhar. Rangers later handed him to Ganda Singh police station, where investigators have opened further inquiries. According to officials, the man was taken into custody immediately after being spotted near the border. Law enforcement is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crossing, including whether it was accidental or intentional. The individual is being questioned under relevant laws. Pakistani authorities have assured that the matter is being handled according to proper legal procedures.
