The report stated the Strike Enforcement Stations will have jurisdiction across Punjab. This allowing teams to act quickly against violations without geographical restrictions. To back this expansion, the government has reportedly approved amendments to the PERA Act 2024. The revised law now grants PERA the legal authority to conduct enhanced enforcement activities. The Punjab government has assured that clear guidelines and oversight mechanisms will be introduced to ensure fair and lawful enforcement of PERA across the province.

According to official sources, the new enforcement stations will operate under the Provincial Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA). Their main purpose will be to prevent illegal strikes. Protect public property. And ensure that essential services such as healthcare, education, and transportation remain uninterrupted. Authorities emphasize that the initiative is not mean to curb peaceful protest but to ensure that demonstrations remain within legal limits. “Peaceful assembly is a constitutional right, but disruption of public life and damage to property will not be tolerate,” an official state.

Under these amendments, the PERA force will be empowere to take action against tax defaulters, illegal private housing societies, and transport operators violating regulations. The enforcement stations will set up in major cities first, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Multan, before expand to other districts.
