FIA to announce mobile app for immigration clearance in 10 seconds. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Pakistan has announced plans to launch an innovative mobile application designed to make immigration clearance at airports faster and more efficient. Reducing processing time to around 10 seconds for eligible travelers. Officials from the FIA’s Integrated Border Management System (IBMS), including Director Mustafa Hameed Malik. Explained that the new app will integrate with the authority’s existing immigration framework. And allow passengers to complete clearance procedures far more quickly than traditional counter services.

Travellers will be able to download the mobile app on their smartphones. And enter their personal and travel information ahead of time. The system will then verify the provided data against official databases. Including national identity and passport records, using advanced technology and artificial intelligence. Once users’ information is confirmed, they will proceed through specially equipped electronic e‑gates at major airports. By simply scanning their passports, the app and e‑gates will work together to complete the immigration clearance process without direct human intervention. A process expected to take about 10 seconds under normal conditions.
