Available Scholarship Categories
Category I – Top 50 QS World Ranked U.S. Universities
Applicants who secure admission in one of the top 50 QS World Ranked U.S. universities are eligible for:
- Tuition fee as per university invoice.
- Annual stipend of USD 19,200.
- Health insurance of USD 2,000 per annum.
Eligibility Requirements
- Admission secured in a Top 50 QS World Ranked U.S. University.
- Valid GRE-General score of at least 300, or
- HEC HAT score of at least 80%.
Category II – Top 51-100 QS World Ranked U.S. Universities
Applicants who secure admission in universities ranked between 51 and 100 are eligible for:
- Tuition fee support up to USD 12,000 per annum.
- Annual stipend of USD 19,200.
- Health insurance of USD 2,000 per annum.
Eligibility Requirements
- Admission secured in a university ranked between 51 and 100 in the QS World University Rankings.
- Valid GRE-General score of at least 300, or
- HAT score of at least 60%.
General Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfill the following conditions:
- Must be a Pakistani or AJK national.
- Must possess a minimum four-year Bachelor’s degree (BS/BSc/BE or 16 years of formal education).
- No second or third division throughout the academic career for Category I and II scholarships.
- Maximum age should not exceed:
- 40 years for regular government employees, public sector university faculty members, government college faculty members, and regular researchers of approved R&D organizations.
- 35 years for all other applicants.
- Must not be availing any other scholarship at the time of application.
- Preference will be given to candidates admitted in preferred subject areas listed on the HEC website.
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to secure additional university funding to cover any differential amount, if applicable.
