KP government to acquire B7 armored vehicles for PHC judges. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has taken steps to enhance the security of judges serving at the Peshawar High Court (PHC). By moving forward with plans to procure two B7‑level armored vehicles for official use. According to official documents, the provincial cabinet had previously approved the acquisition. And a tender has now been issued inviting bids for the specialized vehicles with submissions open until February 4, 2026. Each armored vehicle is expected to cost between Rs. 150 million and Rs. 200 million, reflecting the high level of protection offered.

The vehicles, which will offer B7‑level ballistic protection. The highest civilian safety standard capable of withstanding armor‑piercing rounds, grenade blasts, and under‑body explosions — are intended for official duties, including travel and court proceedings in sensitive districts. Once acquired, the armored vehicles will be added to the High Court’s pool and used for judicial functions, while older vehicles currently in use are expected to be retired. A PHC spokesperson confirmed that the new fleet will support judges’ mobility and safety during official assignments.

The Peshawar High Court’s Public Relations Officer confirmed that the vehicles will be pooled and used for official duties, including visits and court proceedings in sensitive districts. He added that the existing vehicles will be handed back to the government.
