The Government ofc on 25 and 26 June 2026 (Thursday and Friday) on account of 9th and 10th Muharram-ul-Haram 1448 AH (Ashura).
According to a notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), the holidays will be observed by all government offices operating under both five-day and six-day working schedules across Punjab.
The provincial government has also directed the Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) to ensure wide publicity of the announcement through national and regional newspapers as well as electronic media.
According to the Resources The decision has been taken to facilitate the observance of Ashura, one of the most significant occasions in the Islamic calendar, marked by religious gatherings and processions throughout the province.
