Imran Khan Bushra Bibi challenge toshakhana 2 IHC verdict. Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek‑e‑Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have filed separate appeals in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) challenging their convictions. And 17‑year prison sentences in the high‑profile Toshakhana‑II case. The couple’s legal team approached the IHC on Monday. Arguing that the special court verdict delivered on December 20, 2025 was legally flawed, politically motivated, and an overreach of judicial procedure.
In their petitions, the appellants contend that the prosecution failed to prove the core charges. And that the trial court improperly relied on the testimony of an approver whose credibility. They argue was questionable. The appeals also assert that multiple punishments for the same alleged offence violates established legal principles. And that the special court lacked proper jurisdiction. The Toshakhana‑II case centers on allegations that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi improperly acquired and undervalued an expensive. Bulgari jewellery set gifted by the Saudi crown prince during a 2021 official visit, a charge they deny.
Lawyers for the former prime minister say the conviction is part of a broader pattern of political victimisation designed to curtail Imran Khan’s role in national politics. The couple has asked the IHC to set aside the convictions and suspend the sentences. With the appeals now formally registered and pending further judicial proceedings. The development adds to Imran Khan’s growing list of legal battles. He is already serving a separate sentence and faces other ongoing cases.

The Islamabad High Court will review the appeals, and if accept, the Toshakhana‑II verdict could be put on hold while the legal process unfolds. The timing of future hearings will be schedule by the IHC.
