The boycott of examinations organized by the Teachers’ Association of the Federal Urdu University Abdul Haq Campus and Gulshan-e-Iqbal Campus continued for the fourth day.
Teachers gathered in large numbers in front of the university’s administrative block on Thursday morning.In which the Vice Chancellor also attended and announced that the demands would continue to be met.Karachi University Teachers Society President Dr. Syed Ghufran Alam and General Secretary Dr. Zeeshan Iqbal Siddiqui participated in the protest rally held on the fourth day of the boycott and expressed solidarity.And also announced support for the teacher’s demands.
On this occasion, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Taheri, General Secretary of Anjuman Taaz Gulshan Iqbal Campus, Dr. Roshan Ali Soomro, President of Anjuman Taaz Abdul Haq Campus, Dr. Asghar Ali Dashti, Vice President, Dr. Iqbal Hassan Naqvi, General Secretary, and Dr. Irfan Aziz, Joining Secretary, addressed the gathering.
The resolution passed at the end of the meeting condemned the suspension of 2 months’ salary and 4 months’ pension, subsequent retirement arrears, 26 months’ house sealing, closure of medical facilities, establishment of agricultural industries’ dispensaries within the university without the approval of the Senate, and the absence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zabita Khan Shinwari from the administrative offices.
