According to Quetta Police officials, mobile phone services are being suspended on the seventh of Muharram due to security concerns. This is to ensure that the Muharram processions are peaceful.
On the 7th of Muharram, 61 mourning ceremonies will be held across the district, while the historic Mehndi procession will depart from Imambargah Syed Roshan Ali Shah Mohalla Aam Khas at 4 pm. Due to which, measures are being taken keeping in mind the security concerns.
A notice of the return of the service will be sent to the public through various means soon.
