PM Launches Program to Train 1,000 Agricultural Graduates in China for Modern Farming Skills Another big initiative by Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif to reduce unemployment in Pakistan. This initiative has been taken for the educated young men/women of Pakistan, through which opportunities will be created to go and work in foreign countries.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan visited agricultural universities and research institutes in China and witnessed their cutting-edge agriculture practices. In order to benefit from China’s experience, short term training program to send 1,000 agricultural graduates to China under Prime Minister directive was published in newspapers on 19.11.2024 & 18.01-2025 for seeking applications.

PM Launches Program to Train 1,000 Agricultural Graduates in China for Modern Farming Skills

Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR) invites applications from young agricultural graduates from public and private sectors to participate in this training program which will be implemented in phases. The duration of training will be 3-6 months. Details of priority areas of training, eligibility criteria, and general instructions are as follows:

Internships Priority Areas

The training will be provided in the following nine priority areas:

  • Farm mechanization.
  • (Crop breeding and genomics (cotton, hybrid rice, vegetables, pulses, wheat and alfalfa seeds).
  • iHigh-level technology-drones, Internet of Things, AI, (iv) seed production and processing technologies.
  • Livestock disease surveillance.
  • Livestock breeding and genomics.
  • Aquaculture especially shrimp production and processing.
  • High-efficiency irrigation systems, and
  • (Fruit and vegetable processing.

Eligiblity Criteria

Qualification

Young agricultural graduates with specialization in nine priority areas.

Required CGPA /Marks

Attained minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0 or 1st division in (BS/BSc (Hons) (4 years), Higher degrees i.e. MS/MPhil or Ph.D will be awarded additional score subject to minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0.In case applicants are more than training slots, they will be ranked based on CGPA/marks.

Age Limit

Should not be more than 35 years of age on the closing date of application i.e. 04.05.2025.

Experience

Have minimum two years of relevant experience in nine priority areas.

Skills

Proficiency in English language and use of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Program Updates

  • Batch – 1 of training program is ready to depart in April.
  • Finalization of Batch – 2 of training is in process.
  • Limited seats available for Batch – 3.

General Instructions

Training program is fully funded by the Government of Pakistan.

Scope of training, orientation sessions, and reporting requirements will be provided to selected applicants.

How to Apply for Latest Train 1,000 Agricultural Graduates?

Interested applicants may apply online https://chinatraining.fsp.gov.pk/ and upload their CV, academic credentials/transcripts/degrees, passport (image of bio page) on or before closing date. The application portal will remain active until the closing date (12:00 midnight PST).

Required Documents

Selected candidates will be required to submit HEC attested copies of credentials/transcripts/degrees and sign a bond to return to Pakistan upon completion of training and be available as master trainers.

Already Employ Requirements

Applicants working in the public sector will have to provide NOC of their respective departments upon selection.

Importand Notes

Family will not be allowed to accompany the trainee. Candidates who have previously applied through earlier advertisements may also apply this time.Applicants should have passport valid for at least one year beyond the application deadline.Applications with incomplete/incorrect information will be rejected.
