Great news for the people of Punjab: the provincial government has decided to introduce additional electric buses, e-taxis, e-bikes, and e-three-wheelers. This initiative aims to provide the public with superior transport facilities and make daily commuting easier.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said in a meeting of the Transport and Mass Transit Department that 5,000 electric buses will be deployed to serve the people of Punjab in 5 years. This will provide relief from expensive fares and allow the people of Punjab to travel for free.
He further said that electric buses have also been brought to Punjab, as well as the manufacturing industry. The aim of this is to benefit the people of Punjab and provide them with modern travel facilities.
The Prime Minister further informed that the assembly plant has started assembling electric buses in Punjab.
Regarding the youth of Punjab, he stated that 100,000 e-bikes would be provided to students within one year, and the Punjab government would offer a subsidy of 70,000 rupees on each e-bike.
