Vacant Position Details
Deputy Program Officer (Occupational Health & Safety – OHS)
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s (4 Years) / Master’s degree or higher in:
- Environmental Engineering
- Environmental Sciences
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Degree must be from an HEC-recognized institute
- NEBOSH IGC Certification preferred
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification will be considered an asset
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 07 years of relevant experience in OHS systems implementation
- Experience in infrastructure or donor-funded projects (World Bank / ADB preferred)
- Strong expertise in:
- OHS Management Plans development & execution
- Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- Incident investigation & root cause analysis
- Corrective & preventive action planning
- Safety audits, inspections, and toolbox talks
- Training workers and contractors on PPE usage and safety procedures
- Emergency response planning and execution
- Familiarity with World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) is essential
- Ability to prepare:
- Safety compliance reports
- Monitoring checklists
- Performance evaluation matrices
- Strong coordination skills with contractors, consultants, and authorities
