
Rs. 3.8 billion Karachi underpass major progress made. Significant progress has been made on the Rs. 3.8 billion underpass project in Karachi’s Kareemabad area. Bringing the development closer to completion and promising improved traffic flow in one of the city’s busiest corridors. Officials say that around 85% of the construction work has already been finish. With the remaining tasks expect to be wrap up soon once utility line relocation is complete.
Karachi Commissioner Hassan Naqvi recently visited the site to review the ongoing work and directed relevant authorities to expedite the remaining construction. A key challenge cited in the final stages is the relocation of K‑Electric utility lines, which has slowed down full completion. For addressing this, the commissioner called a meeting with K‑Electric management to ensure that remaining obstacles are quickly remove.

Officials express optimism that once the utility lines are shift, the underpass could be complete within the next 30 days. This providing significant relief for motorists and easing congestion in the surrounding areas. The project which has been under development for several months.
