There is great news for the people of Punjab: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the “Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar” (My Land, My Home) program some time ago. This revolutionary initiative aims to provide free land to impoverished and homeless individuals across the province, enabling them to build their own homes and live in secure housing. The scheme aligns with the Chief Minister’s vision of “Housing for All,” ensuring that deserving citizens have access to safe accommodation. The Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency is the implementing body for this project, while the Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering Department (HUD&PHED) serves as the administrative department. This program initiated by the Chief Minister has made significant progress.

AZAG Eligiblity Criteria
As per the identity card, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab.
Applications are acceptable only for schemes located in the applicant’s district; this means a candidate can apply only within their own district.
The applicant, their spouse, or dependent children must not own any plot or house anywhere in Pakistan.
The applicant must have a clean criminal record; that is, there should be no FIR registered against them.
The applicant must not be a bank defaulter.
The applicant must ensure the accuracy of the information provided; false statements may lead to disqualification.
Features of Program
Under the Punjab Chief Minister’s scheme, 3-marla residential plots will be provided to deserving individuals free of cost.
This program will be introduced in phases, with the first phase comprising 1,892 plots across 23 schemes in 19 districts.
This initiative will provide relief to the homeless and ensure land ownership for the underprivileged class.
